The Handball-Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar (OL-RPS) is one of the twelve squadrons of the Handball-Oberliga of the German Handball Federation and the highest division of the four independent state associations Rheinhessen (HVR), Rhineland (HVRL), Palatinate (PfHV) and Saar (HVS), which originally belonged to the Regional Association of Southwest German Handball Association (SWHV) , which was dissolved in 2011 . The Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar is the fourth highest division in German handball after the Bundesliga , the 2nd Bundesliga and the 3rd division and currently includes the game operation for the men's and women's teams in adult handball as well as for the male and female A, B and C teams in youth handball.
