Gerald Drews

Gerald Drews (born December 13, 1954 in Lagerlechfeld ) is a German journalist , author , literary agent and aphorist .

Life

After graduating from Dominikus-Zimmermann-Gymnasium in Landsberg am Lech and studying business administration at the University of Augsburg , Gerald Drews began an internship at Augsburger Allgemeine , where he then worked as a local editor. In 1979 Drews switched to Weltbild magazine . As a reporter for this magazine, Gerald Drews mainly portrayed celebrities. In 1983 he took over the editor-in-chief of the youth magazine Junge Zeit (today: x-mag ) for two years .

Since 1985 he has worked as a freelance journalist, book author, copywriter, moderator and publishing agent.

As a journalist, Drews writes about money and law, psychology and life support, sports, music and humor. Gerald Drews has published numerous articles in newspapers and magazines and has published more than 100 books since 1986.

For a while he moderated hit and pop programs on the Augsburg local radio station RT1 . Many of the texts in the booklets for the “Das Beste” music collections from Reader's Digest come from his pen. He also writes texts for audio book collections for Reader's Digest - for example our world shaped for you , A life for music - Five great classical composers or On the trail of German history .

As an agent, he and Cornelia Heindl represent authors of novels, advice and non-fiction books, including Christiane Schlueter, Ulrike Renk , Miriam Covi, Michaela Grünig, Joan Weng, H. Dieter Neumann and the former ski racer Marc Girardelli .

Gerald Drews has two sons from his first marriage. He lives and works in Augsburg.
