Gerald Peklar

Gerald Peklar (* before 1972 ) is an Austrian musician , composer , DJ / live act and producer. In 1972 he was the youngest extraordinary student to date at the University of Music, the Mozarteum Salzburg . Today he is the musical director of the Freaksound Club in Salzburg and works as a composer among others at "Preuss-Project Studios Salzburg & New York".

His producer project "Allen Alexis, Album Different Believers" was played frequently on FM4 . In 2013 he was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category Best Engineered Album for Different Believers by Allen Alexis .

Life

At the age of twelve Peklar attended the Mozarteum. After two years without making music, the purchase of a Roland Juno 6 synthesizer changed his aversion to making music. He composed and produced as a " ghostwriter " and was co-founder of the labels ArtOnRecords up to the label for non-commercial electronic music Freaksound and Freakadelle . His label REFELX recordings, which he leads, produces and releases new electronic downtempo from chillout to slow motion music to techno below 120 bpm.

His time in Berlin and Hamburg particularly influenced him musically.
