Geraldine Gutiérrez de Wienken

Geraldine Gutiérrez-Wienken (* 1966 in Ciudad Guayana , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan poet, curator and literary translator.

Life

Gutiérrez-Wienken studied dentistry at the Universidad Central de Venezuela as well as German philology and sociology at the University of Heidelberg , where she received her doctorate with a thesis on "The wave as a symbol in art and literature". She has appeared as a poet, translator and publisher as well as editor and presenter of the radio show Poesía at the Bermuda radio in Mannheim .

Geraldine Gutiérrez-Wienken has lived and worked in Heidelberg since the late 1990s after spending time in South America and the USA .
