Gerard Paul Bergie (born June 10, 1957 in Hamilton ) is Bishop of Saint Catharines .

Life

Gerard Paul Bergie was ordained a priest on May 22, 1982 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 11, 2005 auxiliary bishop in Hamilton and titular bishop of Tabae . The episcopal ordination donated him the Bishop of Hamilton, Anthony Frederick Tonnos , on August 24 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Matthew Francis Ustrzycki , Auxiliary Bishop in Hamilton, and John Michael Sherlock , Old Bishop of London .

He was appointed Bishop of Saint Catharines on September 14, 2010 and was introduced to the office on November 9 of the same year.
