Gerardo Gatell Valls (born September 6, 1940 in Torredembarra , Spain, † before May 24, 1989 ) was a Spanish football player .

The defender played two seasons for Español Barcelona in the 1960s . In the 1963/64 season eight games are occupied. In the following season he completed 27 games for Levante UD . He made 21 appearances in the 1966/67 season at Deportivo La Coruña . Real Valladolid , Linense , Sporting Mahonés , Europa , Yeclano , Girona and Vinaroz are listed as further stations of his footballing activity. In the international B match on November 15, 1964, he was part of his country's squad in Spain's 3-0 home win against Portugal, but was not used. Gatell, who ended his career at the age of 32, later took part in coaching training alongside Antonio Ruiz Cervilla , Isidro Sánchez García-Figueras , Manuel Vilanova Rebollar and Jesús María Pereda and passed it in July 1972 with the grade notable (in German roughly: remarkable). Gatell died of a heart attack at the age of 48.
