Gerd Bollmann

Gerd Friedrich Bollmann (born September 28, 1947 in Wanne-Eickel ; † September 16, 2017 in Herne ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from secondary school in 1964, Bollmann did an apprenticeship as a mechanical draftsman until 1967 and attended evening school from 1965 , where he obtained the advanced technical college certificate in 1968 . After completing his military service , he began studying mechanical engineering at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences in 1970 , which he completed in 1973 as a graduate engineer (FH). Then studied Bollmann at the Ruhr-University Bochum Vocational Education and Modern History and was then as a vocational school from 1977 teacher worked. He died on September 16, 2017 at the age of 69.

Bollmann was married and had three children.

Political party

Gerd Bollmann had been a member of the SPD since 1972 and from 1990 to 2000 deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district of Herne. From 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the SPD district executive committee for West Westphalia. From 2000 to 2012 he was chairman of the Herne subdistrict.

MP

Bollmann was a member of the Eickel district council and was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from 1984 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002 he was councilor of the city of Herne .

From 2002 to 2013 Bollmann was a member of the German Bundestag . Since November 2005 he has been deputy spokesman for the parliamentary group on the environment, nature conservation and reactor safety and since December 2005 a member of the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group .

Gerd Friedrich Bollmann always moved into the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the constituency of Herne - Bochum II . In the 2009 Bundestag election , he received 51.3% of the first votes . His successor with a direct mandate was Michelle Müntefering in the 2013 federal election .

Memberships

Bollmann was a member of the European Union parliamentary group of the German Bundestag .
