Gerd H. Pelletier

Gerd H. Pelletier (born June 1, 1935 in Cologne ) is a German journalist .

Life

Gerd H. Pelletier is the son of the entrepreneur Walter Pelletier . After the study of English language and literature , journalism of Marxism and international law 1955-1958 ( University of Muenster and FU Berlin ), he was briefly in the 1960s magazine editor (1958-1960) and a freelancer in television .

From 1971 to 1974 Pelletier worked as a foreign editor for WDR television, from 1974 to 1978 as a foreign correspondent for the ARD studio in Washington .

Various activities for ARD took him to Japan and Korea (1982–1988; Far East correspondent and studio manager for German television) and to the ARD television studio in Bonn (1978–1982 and again from 1989 to 1995).

From 1995 to 2000, Pelletier finally headed the ARD studio in Brussels .
