Gerd von Koerber (born January 28, 1906 in Eberswalde , † February 18, 1983 in Munich ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending grammar school in Weimar , Gerd von Koerber studied philosophy . He then worked as a freelance writer. From 1929 to 1934 he worked in the cooperative sector.

Around 1930 Koerber became a member of the NSDAP. His first major party office was that of the district leader of the Rostock -Land district, which he held from October 1, 1934 to March 31, 1935. He then served from April 1, 1935 until the end of the Second World War in 1945 as deputy Gauleiter in the Mecklenburg Gau . From March 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945, he also sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 35 (Mecklenburg) .

Koerber was also a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA), in which he was promoted to Oberführer on November 9, 1938 and to Brigade Leader on April 20, 1944, as well as Lieutenant of the Reserve in the Air Force and Chief Service Officer of the NSDAP.
