Just Cause or Right Cause ( Russian Правое Дело  Prawoje Delo ) was a political party in Russia. It mainly represented economic liberal interests. In March 2016, it was renamed the Growth Party and saw some changes.

Content

The party's motto was Swoboda, sobstwennost, porjadok ("Freedom, Property, Order").

The liberal profile of the three original parties was different. Thus the called Democratic Party of Russia on their tradition from the left-liberal civil rights movement of Russia late 80s and early 90s, the Union of Right Forces was considered a liberal economy, the third party of origin Civilian Power as pro-government liberals.

The party is viewed differently by observers of Russian politics: by some as an opportunity to bring liberal-democratic ideas into Russian society as a unit, by others, like the government critic Garry Kasparov, as Vladimir Putin's “puppet liberals” that should not be taken seriously .

Inner structure

The highest organ of the right-wing cause is the 33-member executive board with three co-chairs at the top. These come from the three parties from which the right thing arose. In addition to the board of directors, there is a supreme council. Local divisions are currently being established, for example the Moscow party organization in March 2009.

history

The Right Cause is an amalgamation of three Russian liberal parties: the Democratic Party of Russia , the Citizens' Power and the Union of Right Forces (SPS). It took place in Moscow in November 2008 and was supported by the then presidential administration. Even before that there were efforts to unite the competing and unsuccessful parties in the liberal spectrum of Russia, especially on the part of the DPR. This was intended to end the continued failure of the fragmented liberal spectrum in the Duma elections. Although the three parties were among the largest liberal associations in Russia, none of them had members in the national parliament, but in some regional parliaments.

In May 2011, billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov showed an interest in the party. He wanted to make it the second strongest political force in Russia and work to improve the rights of small businesses. On June 25, 2011 he was elected chairman. He resigned on September 15, 2011 because, in his opinion, the party was a "Kremlin puppet project led by a puppeteer in the presidential administration". On September 23, 2001, the International Democratic Union suspended the party's membership.

On August 15, 2012, the well-known Russian actor Ivan Ochlobystin was commissioned to write the new party program for the party. It bears the title "Russia for the people". Since the end of 2012, the party has been pursuing an increasingly national-conservative course.

Since February 29, 2016 Boris Titov was the new chairman, at that time the commissioner for entrepreneurial rights of the Russian President . He changed the party with new members and supporters and some new structures. On March 26th the party was renamed the "Growth Party".

Prominent members

The board of 30 members (Politsovjet) includes Valeri Akhadov , Wladislaw Korolev , Boris Nadeschdin , Andrei Netschajew , Alexandra Perechwatowa and Grigori Tomtschin .
