Gerhard Fischer-Munster

Gerhard Fischer-Münster (born November 17, 1952 in Münster-Sarmsheim near Bingen ) is a German composer .

Life

Gerhard Fischer-Münster was born in Münster-Sarmsheim as the son of the composer Theo Fischer . After finishing school, he studied violin, clarinet and piano in Mainz. Since 1975, Fischer-Münster teaches as a lecturer at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz clarinet , composition , piano improvisation . He is the director of the symphonic wind orchestra and the wind ensemble (both ensembles were founded by him). He also works as a guest lecturer at various institutes and universities.

Fischer-Münster gives concerts as a conductor and pianist . He is a juror at music competitions , employee of the “Clarinet Curriculum” of the VdM and wrote a musicological thesis on physical-musical-historical relationships (“Harmony from Harmony”).
