Münster-Sarmsheim is a municipality in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Rhein-Nahe Association , which has its administrative headquarters in the city of Bingen am Rhein .
Geographical location
The wine town of Münster-Sarmsheim borders on Bingen am Rhein to the east and lies on the Nahe ; about two kilometers above its confluence with the Rhine .

The community was created on October 1, 1928 by merging Münster near Bingerbrück with Sarmsheim to the south .

Festivals
- The curb takes place once a year in Münster-Sarmsheim . Here, on the first weekend in August, people celebrate, dance and drink. Accompanied by music and the Münster-Sarmsheimer Nahe wine, the festival is a magnet for young and old every year. The curb traditionally begins on Fridays with a service in the Church of St. Peter and Paul and the mayor's barrel tapping. The score ends on Monday evening.

- The B 48, which connects Bad Kreuznach and Bingen am Rhein, runs directly through the town .
- The federal motorway 61 is reached after approx. 3 km at the junction Bingen-Mitte .
railroad
The place is in rail transport through its breakpoint Münster-Sarmsheim in the Nahe Valley Railway with Bingen main station on and via Bad Kreuznach on alsenz valley railway with Kaiserslautern Hauptbahnhof connected. The breakpoint was initially called Münster b. Bingen opened on November 1, 1902 and in 1903 in Münster b. Renamed Bingerbrück . In 1928 the name was changed to Münster-Sarnsheim .
