Gerhard Kelling

Gerhard Kelling (born January 14, 1942 in Bad Polzin , Pomerania Province ) is a German writer .

Gerhard Kelling graduated from drama school and then worked as an assistant director , dramaturge and stage director. In addition, he wrote numerous plays and radio plays and translated works for the stage, mainly from English . Today Kelling lives in Hamburg .

Kelling attracted particular attention in 1999 with his prose debut , the novel Beckerson's book and the following volume New Year . The author received a scholarship from the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf in 1993 and the Rauris Literature Prize in 2000 .
