Gerhard Lüders

Gerhard Lüders (born October 8, 1666 in Lübeck ; † September 2, 1723 ibid) was a German merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Gerhard Lüders was the son of the businessman Johann Lüders, who died in Lübeck in 1689. In 1685 he started a commercial apprenticeship with a German businessman in Riga . After his father's death, he took over his business in Lübeck. Lüders was married to a daughter of councilor Marcus Meyer († 1697). He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1715 and worked there as a chamberlain.
