Gerhard Loibelsberger

Gerhard Loibelsberger (* 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Gerhard Loibelsberger visited the Kalksburg College . He then studied German at the University of Vienna and worked as an advertising and PR copywriter before turning to writing. In addition, Loibelsberger writes lyrics for the Viennese underground band The Third Man , whose singer he is, and started the jazz project Club Dada together with Fredy Stanek . In 1978 he wrote the text for the summer hit Die Grille auf der Brille . In 2003 he wrote the lyrics for the children's musical Schlaraffenland .

Awards

  • In 2010 his historical crime novel The Naschmarkt Murders was nominated for the Leo Perutz Prize of the City of Vienna.
  • In 2014, Todeswalzer - a novel from Vienna was awarded the HOMER Silver Literature Prize in 1914 in the Crime & Thriller category.
  • In 2016 Der Henker von Wien - a novel from Vienna was awarded the HOMER Gold Literature Prize as the best historical crime thriller in 1916 .
