Gerhard Possner

Gerhard Possner (born May 6, 1909 in Niederhermsdorf ; † October 20, 1944 in Munich ) was a miner and a member or supporter of the resistance group around Franz Zielasko .

Act

Franz Zielsko left the Soviet Union for the Ruhr area in 1943 to establish a resistance group there. Gerhard Possner is said to have supported Zielasko during this time and offered him accommodation. After the resistance group was crushed by the Gestapo in August 1943 , Possner and his wife were arrested in a wave of arrests . Zielasko was killed during the interrogation by the Gestapo in the Gladbeck police prison, Possner was charged before the People's Court . On June 21, 1944, Gerhard Possner was sentenced to death and permanent loss of honor for “organizational preparation for high treason and favoring the enemy ”. On October 20, 1944, Gerhard Possner and other members of the group around Franz Zielasko ( Friedrich Struckmeier , Erich Porsch , Andreas Schillack senior , Andreas Schillack jun. ) Were executed with the guillotine in the Munich-Stadelheim prison.
