Friedrich Struckmeier

Friedrich "Fritz" Struckmeier (born April 13, 1900 in Herne ; † October 20, 1944 in Munich ) was a miner and a member or supporter of the resistance group around Franz Zielasko and was executed as a victim of the Nazi justice system in Munich-Stadelheim .

Act

Friedrich Struckmeier lived in Herne at Wiesenstrasse 36. In 1943 Franz Zielasko was parachuted from the Soviet Union into occupied Poland and traveled from there to the Ruhr area to establish a resistance group against the National Socialist system. The group was blown up after a short time and in August 1943 the Gestapo crushed the resistance. There were several arrests. The numbers fluctuate between 44 and 56 arrested in several cities in the Ruhr area. Fritz Struckmeier was also among them. On July 2, 1944, the People's Court sentenced Struckmeier to death. On October 20, 1944, he and other members of the Zielasko group such as Erich Porsch , Andreas Schillack sen. , Gerhard Possner and Andreas Schillack jun. executed with the guillotine in Stadelheim.

Struckmeier was married to Auguste Struckmeier. The couple had two sons.
