In 2016 was Chile concerning. The installed capacity of 24,530 MW in place 37 and with respect. Annual production of 76.09 billion kWh in place 39 in the world. The level of electrification was 99.6% in 2012 (100% in cities and 98% in rural areas).

Wind farms
According to The Wind Power , wind turbines with a total output of 1540 MW were in operation in Chile at the end of 2017 . As of December 2018, 38 wind farms with a total output of 2392 MW were recorded in Chile (although some of these are either individual wind farms or planned wind farms).
