List of power plants in Denmark
The power plants in Denmark are shown both on a map and in tables (with key figures). The list is not complete.
Installed capacity and annual production
In 2016, Denmark was 52nd in terms of installed capacity with 14.34 GW and 65th in terms of annual generation with 29.84 billion kWh . The degree of electrification was 100% in 2016. Denmark was a net importer of electricity in 2016; it exported 9.92 billion kWh and imported 14.98 billion kWh.

Wind farms
At the end of 2017, wind turbines (WTs) with an installed capacity of 5,476 MW were in operation in Denmark . In 2017, these covered 43.4% of Danish electricity needs. According to The Wind Power , wind turbines with a capacity of 6,128 MW were in operation in Denmark at the end of 2019, 1,701 MW of which were offshore.
Offshore wind farms
There are also some offshore wind farms in Denmark . The oldest of these was the Vindeby OWF , which was dismantled in 2017 after more than 25 years of service.
The list is arranged by body of water. Within the individual categories, the wind farms are initially divided into operated, under construction and planned wind farms. The wind farms are then sorted alphabetically according to their (planned) completion date and then. Systems marked with a * are located in the immediate vicinity of the coast and are therefore also called near-shore systems.
