Hydropower plants

There are over 100 hydropower plants in Australia with an installed capacity of approximately 7,800 MW . The Snowy Mountains System with 3,800 MW and the hydropower plants in Tasmania with 2,600 MW have the largest share in this. In 2013, the hydropower plants provided almost 20 billion kWh, around 8% of total electricity generation. The table shows the 10 largest hydropower plants according to installed capacity.
