Installed capacity and annual production

In 2016, Mali ranked 140th in the world in terms of installed capacity with 590  MW and 136th in terms of annual generation with 2.489 billion  kWh . The degree of electrification was 35.1% in 2016 (83.6% in cities and 1.8% in rural areas). Mali was a net importer of electricity in 2016; it imported 800 million kWh.
