List of power plants in Oman

The power plants in Oman are shown both on a map and in tables (with key figures). The list is not complete.

Installed capacity and annual production

In 2014, Oman was in 69th place in the world in terms of installed capacity with 8,200 MW and 65th in terms of annual generation with 28 billion kWh. Oman currently (as of August 2017) does not have a nationwide network . The northern part of the sultanate is covered by the Main Interconnected System (MIS). In the governorate of Dhofar operates Dhofar Power Company own power supply. The remaining parts of the country are supplied by the Rural Areas Electricity Company . The transmission system operator Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) operates lines with 220 and 132 kV as the highest voltage levels in the MIS.
