List of power plants in Nauru

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of the current, planned and former Naurus power plants .

The electricity supply in Nauru is the Nauru Utilities Corporation provided. The aim was to secure 50 percent of the energy requirement by 2015 through renewable energies .

Currently (as of 2014) the demand of 3.3 MW can be covered by the only public power plant on the island. Due to technical problems, this only produces 4.15 MW of the possible 10.4 MW. The generators have been replaced since 2013.
