List of hydropower plants in Australia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The hydropower plants in Australia are shown on both a map and a table (with key figures). The list is not complete.

Installed capacity and annual production

There are over 100 hydropower plants in Australia with an installed capacity of approximately 7,800 MW . The Snowy Mountains System with 3,800 MW and the hydropower plants in Tasmania with 2,600 MW have the largest share in this. In 2013, the hydropower plants provided almost 20 billion kWh, around 8% of total electricity generation.

Hydropower plants

The table only lists hydropower plants with an installed capacity> 10 MW.
