Gerhard Reichhardt

Gerhard Reichhardt (born December 27, 1925 in Gotha , † April 18, 1969 in Stade ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, Reichhardt took part in the Second World War as a soldier from 1943 to 1945 . At the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the United States, from which he was released in 1946. He completed an apprenticeship as a baker in 1946/47, attended the vocational education training center in Gotha in 1947/48 and worked as a vocational school teacher in 1948/49. In 1950 he moved from the GDR to the FRG . Here he worked as a trade teacher from 1950 to 1955. He then acted as managing director of IG Chemie, Papier, Keramik .

Political party

Reichhardt joined the LDPD in 1946 , was deputy chairman of the LDPD in Vacha from 1948 and worked as district secretary for the party in 1949/50. After moving, he joined the SPD in 1950. In 1964 he was elected chairman of the SPD sub-district Stade- Bremervörde .

MP

Reichhardt had been a member of the Stade district council since 1956 and a senator for the city of Stade since 1961. He was a member of the German Bundestag from October 5, 1964, when he replaced the retired MP Uwe-Jens Nissen , until 1965. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.

Public offices

Reichhardt was deputy district administrator of the Stade district since 1963 and was mayor of the city of Stade in 1968/69.
