Gerhard Wack

Gerhard Wack (born August 21, 1945 in Saarlouis - Fraulautern ) is a German politician . From 1999 to 2012 he was State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of Finance.

biography

After graduating from high school in Saarlouis in 1965, Wack studied law at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken until 1970 . He passed the state law exams in 1970 and 1973. In 1974 he started his career as a government assessor at the Saarlouis tax office. From 1975 to 1977 Wack was employed as a consultant at the regional finance office in Saarbrücken and then moved to the Saarland Ministry of Finance. From 1977 to 1980 he was personal advisor to the finance minister Ferdi Behles ( CDU ), then until 1995 head of department. Subsequently, Wack worked again at the regional tax office in Saarbrücken. Before his appointment as State Secretary, Wack was director at the Saarland Court of Audit from 1998 to 1999 .

Wack is married and has a daughter.
