Gerhard Willmann

Gerhard "Willi" Willmann (* 1969 in Munich ) is a German sports editor , presenter and writer .

Life

Willmann attended the Karlsgymnasium in Munich-Pasing , where he passed the Abitur . He then completed his community service in a Pasing retirement home, before he began studying at the Bavarian Civil Service College in 1992 , which he graduated in 1995 with a degree in administrative management (FH) .

After completing his studies, he did an internship at Antenne Bayern . From 1996 to 1998 he was an editor at the radio station before he became head of sport there in March 1999. He held this position until March 2003. He commented on 14 games of the 2006 World Cup for a network of private radio stations . As a result, Willmann worked for Premiere Networks from 2006 to 2009 . In April 2010 he became editor and presenter at Bayern 3 , where he moderates the sports news on the weekend. Since April 2015 he has also been the broadcast editor at Bayern 1 .

Willmann is the spokesman for the Königssee artificial ice rink (since 2004), the Oberhof luge track (since 2016) and the Veltins-Eisarena Winterberg (since 2017).

Willmann's book Der Familienurlaub - Von Äläffnoklokk to Zeh Roberto was published in July 2020 .
