Gerhart Isler

Gerhart Isler (* 1949 ) is a Swiss publicist and politician . For many years he was the editor of the Swiss stock exchange newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft (FuW). The son of the lawyer, banker and publisher Alfred Isler (1922–1988), who returned with his family from Frankfurt to his home town of Wädenswil in 1949 , studied economics at the University of Zurich . In 1976 he joined the family-owned publishing house Finanz und Wirtschaft, where he became publishing director in 1986 and in 1989, after the death of his father, publisher of FuW. On January 1, 2000, Gerhart Isler sold FuW to the Tamedia group and at the end of 2004 resigned from the publishing house entirely .

Gerhart Isler has lived with his family in Bergdietikon since 1991 , where he represented the Bürger-Forum (BFD) in the local council from 2010 to 2017. In 2010 he was elected mayor (mayor) in a silent election.
