Gerhart Mayer
Gerhart Mayer (born June 4, 1926 in Stuttgart ; † May 20, 2018 in Wetzlar ) was a German specialist in German.
Life
After graduating as Dr. phil. in Marburg on November 9, 1951, the doctorate to Dr. sc. rel. in Marburg on February 24, 1954 and habilitation in Braunschweig 1958, he taught from 1965 to 1973 as a professor of German studies at the Germersheim International and Interpreting Institute and from 1973 to 1992 as a professor of German studies at Faculty 23 Applied Linguistics.
