Gerlinde Rogatsch (born March 2, 1965 in Waiern ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and journalist. Rogatsch was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1999 to 2015 and the ÖVP's club chairwoman from 2004 to 2015.

education and profession

Rogatsch completed his Matura at the BORG in Feldkirchen and then went on a stay abroad in Italy. She then studied political science, journalism and communication science as well as Italian at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1991 with a diploma thesis on "Media Policy / Press Concentration in Austria" and the academic degree of Mag. Phil. from.

During her studies, Rogatsch worked for the APA news agency, the daily newspaper “ Der Standard ”, at ORF and the ÖVP press service in Vienna. After her studies, she was political advisor in the ÖVP for the EU, foreign and media policy, democracy and federalism from 1991 to 1994 and then moved to the ÖVP general secretariat as office manager. She was also head of the press / media department of the ÖVP. From 1996 to 2004, Rogatsch was regional manager of the Salzburg People's Party, and since 1998 she has been the manager of the Industrie-Team-Werbegesellschaft.

From April 27, 1999, Rogatsch was a member of the Salzburg state parliament and on April 26, 2004 he was elected ÖVP club chairwoman of the Salzburg ÖVP state parliament club. After the state elections in 2004, she barely made it to the state parliament after she couldn't score points in the internal ÖVP preferential voting model and only received a mandate from the list of remaining votes. According to media reports, Rogatsch has a secure mandate in the 2009 state elections. She was the health spokesperson for the ÖVP state parliament club.

In January 2015 she announced her retirement from politics, resigned her state parliament mandate on February 4, 2015, followed by Michaela Eva Bartel as MP and Daniela Gutschi as club chairwoman .

In May 2015 she was awarded the Great Decoration of Honor of the State of Salzburg .
