Germán Lorente
Germán Lorente (born November 25, 1932 in Vinaròs , † August 26, 2019 in Madrid ) was a Spanish director and screenwriter .
Life
Lorente began as a screenwriter in 1957 and wrote, among other things, Juan Bosch's film Love, Gift and Passion (1959).
He made his debut as a director in 1964 with Donde tú estés with Claudia Mori . With Gabriele Tinti as the main actor, he shot Playa de Formentor (1964). He celebrated his breakthrough in 1966 with the love drama Su nombre es Daphne with Geneviève Grad and Michel Subor . Hollywood star George Chakiris plays the leading role in Lorentes Sahron vestida de rojo (1969). He won an international star cast in 1973 for his thriller The Girl from Via Condotti : Frederick Stafford , Femi Benussi , Claude Jade and Michel Constantin . Stafford also starred in Lorente's 1976 thriller Hold up . After a few thrillers, he returned to love drama with striptease (1976, with Terence Stamp and Corinne Cléry ). After Tres mujeres de hoy (1980) with Ana Obregón , Lorente made his last film La vendedora de ropa interior in 1982.
