Corinne Clery (* 23. March 1950 as Corinne Piccoli in Paris ) is a French actress who gained fame especially in the 1970s. She played in over 60 cinema and television productions , including in the movies The Story of O , Bluff , If you die, I'll live! or in the James Bond film Moonraker - Top Secret .

life and career

Cléry, born in Paris in 1950, began her acting career at the age of seventeen as "Corinne Piccoli". She modeled in Paris and Rome and in 1973 made a successful attempt at filming under the name "Corinna Picolo" in the comedy Il sergente Rompiglioni .

Two years later she played the title role of "O" in the sadomasochistic film The Story of O by director Just Jaeckin based on the novel by Dominique Aury . The film was very successful in European cinema, especially in motherland France. This role gave Corinne Cléry her international breakthrough as a film actress.

In addition to Adriano Celentano and Anthony Quinn , she then played the female lead in 1976 in the Italian gangster comedy Bluff by Sergio Corbucci . In Pasquale Festa Campaniles gangster drama If you die, I'll live! she was the partner of Franco Nero in 1977 .

In Lewis Gilbert's James Bond film Moonraker - Top Secret with Roger Moore based on a novel by Ian Fleming , she got the part of "Corinne Dufour" alongside Lois Chiles in 1979 .

The following year she starred in Giorgio Capitani's comedy I hate blondes alongside Enrico Montesano, Jean Rochefort and Ivan Desny . In 1987 she cast the Italian director Carlo Vanzina in the literary film The Part of his Life alongside Faye Dunaway , Jennifer Beals and Matthew Modine .

From the early 1980s, Corinne Cléry also took on leading roles in international TV adaptations such as in Alfredo Angeli's drama Benedetta e company alongside Catherine Spaak or in television miniseries such as in Eine Frau (1988) by director Luigi Perelli. In the 1990s she was also seen on Italian television in guest roles, for example in the series Junge Liebe .

In 1999 she was engaged by the Austrian director Xaver Schwarzenberger for his family comedy Stella di mare - Help, we inherit a ship! .

After the millennium she was seen in various Italian crime films and comedies by directors such as Damiano Damiani , Franco Salvia, Stefano Calvagna or Rossella Izzo .

From the mid-1970s, she portrayed numerous magazines, especially in erotic poses, as cover girls.
