German hacker

German Hacker (* 1968 in Erlangen ) is a German local politician ( SPD ). He is the mayor of Herzogenaurach .

Career

Hacker attended the Carl-Platz-Schule in Herzogenaurach from 1974 to 1978 and then switched to the Herzogenaurach grammar school , where he graduated from high school in 1987. After his military service in Regensburg , he studied mathematics and physics for teaching at grammar schools. Between 1995 and 1997 he completed his legal clerkship in Fürth and Langenzenn .

He then worked as a research assistant in the Department of Physics Education at the Physics Institute at the University of Erlangen . In 1999 he switched to the school service and taught at the grammar school in Langenzenn. In 2001 he returned to the University of Erlangen and became a trainer for student teachers in the subject of physics didactics. In 2002 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. nat. From 2005 he was a seminar teacher for physics at the Hardenberg-Gymnasium in Fürth.

He joined the SPD in 1990 and was elected to the city council of Herzogenaurach for the first time in 1996 . From 1998 to 2004 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and from 2004 to 2008 chairman of the parliamentary group. Since May 1, 2008 he has been the city's first mayor. He has also been a member of the Erlangen-Höchstadt district council since 2008 .
