Gero Fischer (judge)

Gero Fischer (born March 11, 1943 in Gladbeck ) is a German lawyer and former presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Career

After graduating from high school, Fischer began studying law . In 1970 he was charged with the investigation "The unfinished crimes in German and French law" by the University of Freiburg Dr. iur. PhD. In 1971 he joined the judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg , where he was appointed judge at the Waldshut-Tiengen district court in 1974 . After being appointed judge at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court in 1979, he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice in July 1990.

Here fisherman was the IX. Civil Senate assigned. In 2004 he was appointed presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice. At the same time he became the chairman of the IX. Civil Senate transferred. At the end of March 31, 2008, Fischer retired.

Fischer is the author of numerous articles. He is the co-editor and author of a lawyer’s liability manual and a commercial and home rental manual. In addition, Fischer is co-editor of the New Journal for Insolvency and Restructuring Law , a member of the editorial board of the journal for business and banking law and a member of the scientific advisory board of the Center for Insolvency and Reorganization at the University of Mannheim eV
