Waldshut-Tiengen district court

The Waldshut-Tiengen district court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of nine district courts in the district of the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court .

The regional court (LG) has its seat in Waldshut-Tiengen , Baden-Württemberg .

The judicial district includes five local courts : Bad Säckingen , St. Blasien , Schönau , Schopfheim and Waldshut-Tiengen . The district thus includes the district of Waldshut and the eastern part of the district of Lörrach .

history

In 1864 a district court was first established in what is now the Waldshut district. In the course of the judicial reform in 1879, this was converted into the Waldshut district court. With the merger of the towns of Waldshut and Tiengen to form the town of Waldshut-Tiengen in 1975, the district court also changed its name and has been called the district court of Waldshut-Tiengen ever since.

Superior courts

The Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe and the Federal Court of Justice are superordinate to the Waldshut-Tiengen Regional Court.
