In 1940 she made her diploma in Zurich. From 1941 she worked in her brother Hans von Meyenburg's architectural office . In September of the same year she entered the office of Friedrich Hess , professor in building construction at ETH Zurich.

During his studies, von Meyenburg met Max Frisch, who also studied architecture. They married on July 30, 1942. The couple had three children: Ursula Priess -Frisch (* 1943) - who wrote about the relationship with her famous father in the books published in 2009 and 2015 -, Hans Peter (* 1944) and Charlotte (* 1949). Trudy Frisch-von Meyenburg began working as an architect again and went into business for herself. One of her most important works is the Auzelg school in Zurich- Schwamendingen (1973). She supported the reconstruction of old manors in the vicinity of the Longo maï cooperative in France. She also created the "Borgo" and "Rocca" toy boxes based on Italian building models, with painted wooden blocks that can be combined to form towns or settlement landscapes.
