The dashed winch ( Convolvulus lineatus ) is a plant type from the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae).

description

The dashed wind is a pillow-forming espalier shrub that reaches heights of 3 to 25 centimeters. The plant forms subterranean runners. It is a prostrate-ascending wind that is silky hairy when pressed down. The leaves are lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, long narrowed, the lowest clearly with a widened membranous base. The flowers stand individually or loosely to 2-7. Their stem is shorter than the corresponding leaf. The bracts are longer than the calyx. The corolla is pale pink and 12 to 25 millimeters long.

The flowering period extends from July to August.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 30, less often 60.

Occurrence

The dashed winds occur from the Mediterranean region, from Turkey and southern Russia to Pakistan and western Mongolia on rock corridors and fields.

use

The dashed bindweed is rarely used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens. She has been in culture since 1770.
