Gevorg Dawtjan ( Armenian Գեւորգ Դավթյան * 4. January 1983 in Gyumri ) is an Armenian weightlifter .
Career
Geworg Dawtjan celebrated his greatest success so far at the Olympic Summer Games in 2008 , where he was able to achieve a bronze medal in the weight class up to 77 kg with a total performance of 360 kg.
In addition, won the 2007 World Cup in the category up to 77 kg with a total output of 362 kg. There are also two gold medals in 2006 and 2007, which he won at the European Championships.
From November 18, 2003 to November 18, 2005, Geworg Dawtjan was banned from the International Weightlifting Federation (IMF) for doping.
