life and work

Albertini studied at the "Accademia dei Filodrammatici" in Milan and in 1953 began working on the theater in the Italian capital. He worked with directors such as Giorgio Strehler and Orazio Costa , and later with the “Stabile di Bolzano”. From 1962 he devoted himself exclusively to film (and later to television) when he interpreted the important, if not extensive, role of "Cristoforo" in La marcia su Roma . In his filmography of around 70 titles there are artistically ambitious works, but also numerous commercial works, whereby Albertini often played smaller roles. He was also known for the depiction of police officers in Poliziottesco films. Most of the time he played the hard-boiled police officer who was marked by life. Albertini also worked in comedies and historical material.

For television, Albertini starred in numerous successful films. He also worked in commercials for kitchen appliance manufacturers and worked as a voice actor; so he was Peter Falk's Italian voice as Columbo .

In Germany he was dubbed among others by Kurt E. Ludwig .
