content

With the visible precision of a Swiss clockwork, designed and monitored by the “professor”, a maddened coup begins: in front of the Swiss National Bank in Geneva , where the country's gold reserves are, six men disguised as urban workers dig themselves into the ground. The men finally reach the safe through shafts and underground channels, equipped with the most modern technical devices and in constant radio communication with the “brain”. They tap into it and pump six tons of gold into a tanker truck. When the work is done, the “professor” and his lover Giorgia break away, commit treason and are then betrayed themselves. Nobody comes into possession of the gold, so the gang in Rome has to start all over again ...

Reviews

The Protestant film observer sums up his criticism as follows: “The punch lines and the humor are not enough for a real crook or a parody. Little skillful and only moderately entertaining. ”The lexicon of the international film comes to a more positive assessment :“ Parodistically colored, with pretty gags, an unbelievably perfect break-in of the safe at the Swiss National Bank […]. ”The state film evaluation agency Wiesbaden awarded the work the title "Precious".
