Gastone Moschin

Gastone Moschin (born June 8, 1929 in San Giovanni Lupatoto , † September 4, 2017 in Terni ) was an Italian theater and film actor .

Life

Moschin began his career as a stage actor in the 1950s in Genoa and at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano and moved to the Teatro Stabile Torino.

He has been on the screen since 1955; In addition to neorealist works such as Pietro Germi , he also played in numerous gangster and police films (his Ugo Piazza in Fernando Di Leos Milano caliber 9 ) and comedies (such as the Amici miei trilogy). He was also seen in The Godfather - Part II in the role of Don Fanucci , who is killed by Robert De Niro . In the mid-1980s he founded his own theater company, but also worked for Italian television and eventually as a theater director. As an actor, he has appeared in more than 90 film and television productions, most recently in the early 2000s.

Moschin was married to the actress Marzia Ubaldi .
