Giancarlo Badessi

Giancarlo Badessi (actually Giancarlo Badese , born September 21, 1928 in Lecco , † December 6, 2011 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Badessi initially worked as an accountant and only turned to acting in the late 1960s. The massive, stocky performer began working on the theater and also wrote a play with Giancarlo Cobelli , La caserma delle fate , which was soon made into a film as Fermate il mondo… voglio scendere under the direction of Cobellis. From 1968 Badessi also devoted himself to the cinema and played nearly 50 roles by 1982, mostly corrupt lawyers, mayors or people of dubious morality, often in police films . He was also seen in numerous commercials.
