Action Winners (original title: L'ultima volta ) is an Italian crime film from 1976. Aldo Lado directed the film, which starred Joe Dallesandro and Eleonora Giorgi , based on the story "Una leggera euforia" by the two screenwriters Calanchi and Collo . It first appeared on video in German-speaking countries in May 1986.

The young, unemployed bartender Sandro Esposito allows himself to be persuaded into handbag robberies and small scams by the ex-motorcyclist Pericles. One day they succeed in giving Pericles' friend the idea of ​​stealing 300 million lire from a false priest who regularly travels to Switzerland to launder money. They go into hiding for a few days, then go to Cervia. Sandro meets a girl, Pericles takes part in a race, but is recognized and killed at the end of the event, the money disappears. Sandro can avenge him and also win back the booty; clearly sorrowful, he moves into an unknown future.

criticism

Karsten Thurau criticized the fact that extremely silly moments and more serious scenes did not want to merge into a stringent story, but also blamed the extremely below-average synchronization. He sums up that the film seems quite tensionless and confused. The lexicon of international films judges: "A story about friendship and initiation embedded in a striking criticism of capitalism, which tries too hard to combine exciting entertainment with social reality."

In Italy, the film was released again in February 1977 under the title Gli scippatori . Filming locations were Milan , Riccione and Misano Adriatico .
