Aldo Lado

Aldo Lado (born December 5, 1934 in Fiume , now Croatia ) is an Italian film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Lado worked as an assistant director from 1962 to 1971 , among others for Anatole Litvak , Bernardo Bertolucci and Maurizio Lucidi . He made his directorial debut with the thriller Malastrana filmed in Prague ; The following Giallo The Child also impressed with its meticulous decorations and high production standards. His Night Train , created in 1975, set new standards in the representation of violence. With the dawn of the 1980s, Lado also increasingly worked for television, for example in the 26-part adventure series La pietra di Marco Polo . A pseudonym of Lados was that of George B. Lewis used for the science fiction film Battle for the 5th Galaxy .
