Maurizio Lucidi

Maurizio Lucidi (* 1932 in Florence , † 2005 in Rome ) was an Italian film director and film editor .

Life

Lucidi comes from a family of master editors (father Renzo and the somewhat younger Remo, Alessandro and Paolo all found their field of work in film editing ). He started in film in 1960, on two occasions as an assistant director. In 1966 he switched to the director's chair; his debut was a mythological film that he showed under the name Maurice A. Bright . Spaghetti westerns and war films followed ; Among the works that appeared after that, the Hitchcock- heavy The Angel of Death in 1971 with excellent performance and in 1978 the crime film Diamond Doll , based on a novel by Franco Enna , stand out. Lucidi also worked for television in the 1990s.
