Settlement in San Francisco is a 1976 Italian action film starring Roger Moore .

action

Salvatore Francesco donates a wooden cross from his hometown in Sicily to a church in San Francisco . The "mild gift", however, was used to smuggle heroin . Salvatore is accused of smuggling the heroin and if he fails to present the real culprit, the mafia will hold him accountable.

He hires his nephew Ulysses, an American-Sicilian lawyer, to find the real culprits. At his side is his longtime friend Charlie. After Ulysses and Charlie track down the henchmen and the heroin, Ulysses visits Salvatore and shoots him because he once murdered his father in Sicily.

In the end, Ulysses rolls the car with the heroin in the trunk off a cliff.

criticism

"Well-photographed, but crudely narrated and sometimes boring gangster drama."

“The film is convincing neither with its originality (despite half a dozen authors) nor with the directing skills. Keach and Moore reel off their sentences with a lack of concentration that is diametrically opposed to the number of corpses on their way. Nothing new, not even new mediocrity. "

- G. Cèbe : Ecran 60 , July 1977
