Lewis Smith

Lewis Collie Smith (born August 1, 1956 in Chattanooga , Tennessee ) is an American actor .

Life

Smith had in 1981 his feature film debut in Walter Hill's thriller The last Americans alongside Keith Carradine and Fred Ward . The following year he played a minor supporting role in the film comedy based on the play by Neil Simon. I actually wanted to go to the film with Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret in the leading roles. In 1985 he was seen in the science fiction film Buckaroo Banzai - The 8th Dimension as Perfect Tommy . In the mini-series Torches in the Storm , which was also highly successful in Germany , he played the role of Charles Main in the first two seasons .

In 1987 he was given the lead role in a pilot for a television series based on the film The Man Who Fell From Heaven, but it was never realized. In the same year he played alongside Teri Hatcher one of the leading roles in the sitcom Karen's Song , which was discontinued after 13 episodes. During the 1990s, he guest-starred on various series including Booker , Murder is Her Hobby and Melrose Place, and had a supporting role in Lawrence Kasdan's western Wyatt Earp .
