Giancarlo Bergamelli (born October 28, 1974 in Trescore Balneario ) is a former Italian ski racer . Like his older brothers Sergio , Norman and Thomas , he was a specialist in giant slalom and slalom .

Bergamelli contested his first World Cup race on November 12, 1995, the giant slalom in Tignes . Five days later he got his first World Cup points as 28th of the giant slalom in Vail . In the following years Bergamelli could not establish himself at the top of the world and was mainly used in the European Cup . It wasn't until 2001 that the results were good enough to win World Cup points.

His most successful year was 2003, when he managed to finish in the top ten four times. The best result of his career is a fifth place, which he achieved on November 23, 2003 in the slalom in Park City . Bergamelli took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics and in the 2003 and 2005 World Championships in slalom, but retired in all three races. In 2004 he became the Italian slalom champion, the last World Cup race he drove in January 2007.
