Gianni Bozzacchi

Gianni Bozzacchi (* 1943 in Rome ) is an Italian filmmaker and photographer .

Life

Bozzacchi was best known as a celebrity photographer in the late 1960s and 1970s. In this field of work he published a book with photos by Elizabeth Taylor , with whom he had been known since 1966, when he was hired as a set photographer for the film Die hour der Komödianten . For many years he was Taylor and Richard Burton's personal photographer .

In the mid-1970s he actively turned to film. In 1978 he co-produced several films, including the spaghetti western Amore, piombo e furore ; In 1986 he shot and directed I love New York , but once it was finished he distanced himself from the film, which was then assigned to the community pseudonym Alan Smithee . In addition, he worked for numerous international productions in a wide variety of functions.

Bozzacchi lives near Milwaukee .
