Gianni Poggi
Gianni Poggi ( October 4, 1921 - December 16, 1989 ) was an Italian opera singer (tenor).
Life
First he studied with Valeria Manna from 1942 , but then had to do military service in the Italian Air Force. After the end he went to Milan to study with Emilio Ghirardini . He made his debut in 1947 at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo as “Rodolfo” in La Bohème . From 1947 to 1965 he was employed at La Scala in Milan.
